How much does the LJMU app cost?
Nothing - the LJMU app is completely free of charge to download. Don't forget that, depending on your connection type and data package, you may incur data transfer charges when downloading and using the app. On campus, you'll be able to connect via wi-fi.
Getting started
Once you've installed the app on your mobile device, you'll be asked to create a username and password – this is completely separate to your LJMU account.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll then be able to access useful information such as:
Student IT Zones - Find out where to access our IT facilities, how to access your account and more
Student Advice and Guidance - find out about the advice on offer to you throughout the university, including LRCs, accommodation, careers, and more
Liverpool Students Union - information all about what's on offer from the Liverpool Students Union, and how to get involved
Key Contacts - useful contact numbers 
Careers - find out all about the extensive support on offer from our World of Work Careers Centre 
Student Life - find out all about what it's like to be a student at LJMU
Computing - get started, and find out more about the computing services we have to support you during your time at LJMU
In addition to these user guides, you're also able to access more personalised, interactive information such as:
Uni Maps - find out where our buildings are located across the city, and how to get to them
Library - view your library record and see what books you’ve borrowed 
Directory - search and find contact details for LJMU staff

The apps have recently been updated, with new functionality added, including:

News / Events - subscribe to an expanded range of RSS feeds, including our iTunesU channel 
PC booking - need to book a PC? Check availability and reserve a PC. 
National Student Survey - complete the survey and give feedback on your course and insitution. 
Mersey Travel - check timetables and view travel alerts.Computing Announcements - subscribe to the RSS feed for current computing announcements.
Adding and removing news / events feeds
As new feeds are made available throughout the year, it's important that you check regularly to see if any more have been added. To do this, simply go to the News / Events section, you'll be shown which feeds you're already subscribed to. To add additional feeds, click on 
and select / deselect from the list. Please note, this methodology may vary slightly depending on the device you're using.

Keep your app up to date
Like most apps, we regularly update LJMU, adding new content and functionality. When we update any information you will receive a download prompt, tap this and it should only take a few seconds for you to download the latest content to your device. Please note, the way these update notifications are delivered will vary depending on the device you're using.
Look out for alerts on new updates thoughout the year.
