Library & Student Support launch new library search engine

Discover is a new library search engine for academic information.
It brings together books, e-books, articles in electronic journals and many other sources, linking quickly through to the full text where possible.
The Discover search box is available on the student home page and on the Electronic Library web pages where you can find more advice on using it.
The purchase and implementation of Discover is a major step forward for Library and Student Support, replacing the former search system with the most up to date technology available. L&SS are confident that Discover will provide quicker and easier access to the rich information resources they hold, particularly to the excellent collection of e-resources available.
Discover searches both the library catalogue and a broad range of e-resources at the same time, with powerful search features to help make the search relevant to any topic.
Discover is very new and the L&SS team are still working on the system behind the scenes to make technical improvements and introduce new features to help with subject searching.
All feedback is welcomed via the online form and L&SS will be organising some drop-in sessions later this semester to ask for your first impressions.
